While at Dunnhumby I created a large number of Newsletters for Shell Oil. They were always written with a range of languages being considered as the target audience where in approximately 25 international markets in Europe.
The newsletters were created for customers of Shell Oil who were holders of the Shell club card as a means or promoting offers and keeping them informed of their currently earned club card ‘points’.
Newsletters were created with content placeholders that a third-party was responsible for populating with the relevant customer information. Because of the size of the target audience and diversity in languages used consideration had to be made over layout and content so that adherence to Shell branding was strictly followed yet letters had a creative touch and worked well with the languages used on a country by country basis.
